Notice:
Due to building activities the library (visiting address Bloemstraat 15) will be closed to the public from 16 October 2000 until 15 January 2001, after which the library will reopen on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00-12:30 and 13:30-17:00 hours. During the temporary closure of the library to the public, queries may of course still be directed to the library staff either in writing, by telephone or by e-mail.

The visiting address of the library differs from the postal address. The library is situated at Bloemstraat 13-19, Amsterdam, opposite the Westerkerk at the corner of Rozengracht and Prinsengracht. Public transport from Amsterdam Central Station: tram lines 13, 17 or 20, stop at Westermarkt.

The work library in the Bloemstraat houses the reference section, modern editions of works belonging to the Hermetic tradition, and secondary works. The books are kept on open shelves. Books printed before 1800 and the manuscript department are housed in a separate location and must be fetched for readers wishing to consult them. For this reason it is best before planning a visit to the library to inquire about availability of books with the library staff.

Facilities: reading area (8 seats); author/title catalogue; photocopier. No library loan.
