June 1999 Letter from AMORC Webmaster via Email, to a New AMORC Member Regarding the 1990 Events: 

The letter (reproduced below) has been put on this web site to show, and to alert potential members who are applying to AMORC, that what AMORC says is less than the truth in their deceptive explanation of the events of 1990.  This letter is current, and is being circulated with AMORC's full knowledge that it is inaccurate. 

It is now up to you, those who seek the Truth, to examine this web site carefully, study the Ref'documents, and do not merely scan them—then read AMORC's deceptive letter and make up your own mind.  Also notice that the letter was NOT SIGNED by any official of AMORC, nor was any individual's name given as the author.

Please read the documentation on this Web Site, from the civil court case (there were no criminal charges made on so great an accusation).  You will see the falsity of the statements made still, here in this letter by AMORC, concerning the true facts of the court case.  Note especially, the court documents that clearly indicate the appropriate Board of Director knowledge and approval had already occured regarding the $3 million Andora project in advance of the transfer of funds.   "Sued to recover those funds"?—why weren't criminal charges filed FIRST--and were never filed, in fact?  Why was the lawsuit dismissed "with prejudice" which was "prejudice against AMORC"— meaning there was NO substance and the case could never again be brought against Imperator Stewart by AMORC?  Perhaps thedocumentation of negotiation for settlement on this web site, will shed light on this question. 

NOTE:  Legal Definitions Relevant to the Dismissals of the GLS Cross-Complaint (1/92), and the AMORC Complaint (8/93):

With Prejudice - A declaration which dismisses all rights.  A judgment barring the right to bring or maintain an action on the same claim or cause. 

Without Prejudice - A declaration that no rights or privileges of the party concerned are waived or lost.  In a dismissal these words maintain the right to bring a subsequent suit on the same claim.

The AMORC June 1999 letter to a new member follows exactly by permission of the recipient, word for word as was sent to the individual pertaining to the court case:

"Webmaster wrote:

"....  We presume that you are referring to legal action in which AMORC was involved concerning Mr. Gary Stewart, who was at that time the President of our organization worldwide.  Mr. Stewart embezzled approximately $3 million from AMORC, and as a consequence was removed from his position as President by the Board of Directors, and was sued to recover those funds. [Ref./Back To: GLS Interview, Events Precipitating Accusation of Embezzlement]

"The court ruled in AMORC's favor, and most of the money was returned on demand.  A countersuit filed by Mr. Stewart was denied by the court, 1) [Ref./Back To:  KK 5/92 Letter ref. to 3/92 date, i.e., Re GLS 1/92 independent request for dismissal] 2) [Ref./Back To: GLS 6/18/93 Letter, i.e., Re AMORC misinformation]  3) [Ref./Back To:  GLS 5/27/93 Letter] and his removal was judged proper. [Ref./Back To: Interview Re Summary Judgment].  He is no longer permitted to represent himself as an officer of our organization.  He and several other people associated with him left AMORC at around that time, and at present we are not aware of their location or activities.  All of this information is a matter of public record in the State of California.

"The new President of AMORC worldwide is Mr. Christian Bernard, duly elected by the Board of Directors, and he resides in France.  Our offices in San Jose, California are now responsible for English-speaking members in the Americas, and the CEO of our Grand Lodge here is Ms. Kristie Knutson. "We understand your concern about this kind of activity, and we were very concerned as well, of course.  There have been changes to the way AMORC functions in order to prevent this kind of problem in the future, and we are all committed to perpetuating AMORC's true purpose -- education. "If you have further concerns about this, you are certainly welcome to contact us...."
